How to Optimize Your Day
With all of life’s demands, it can be hard to stick to your dily routine and keep the day running smoothly. In order to maintain the most efficient routine possible, I’ve given you 5 tips that will help you optimize your day to make the most out your 24 hours.
Prepare your outfits a week in advance
If you know you have a meeting to attend on Tuesday and you’re going to a dinner party on Friday, get ahead of the week and plan your important outfits the weekend before. It will same time to relax before your important moments instead of being frazzled tearing your whole closet apart.
Wear your gym clothes to bed
If you want to be the person who workouts at 6 in the morning but you’d really rather still be in bed, here’s a little tip. Wear your gym clothes to bed like they’re your PJ’s. leave your socks and shoes near your bed too, so you all you to do in the more is slip them on and head out the door. Being in your gym clothes already helps you get into the mindset for working out while also saving you precious time in the morning.
Pack it before
Save time during the morning rush and pack your daily essentials the night before. This includes your backpack, purse, gym bag, or anything else you may take with you throughout the day. This creates a stress-free morning and less chance of you forgetting something important.
Finish Projects a week before the due date
As a rule of thumb, I like to finish my papers or projects a week before they’re due. On one hand, there’s less chance of me procrastinating with a tighter due date and I won’t be stressed out the week that the project is actually due. But this also allows me time to correct any errors I might have made during the process so I can make sure I’m always turning in high-quality work.
Write a daily to do list
When you wake up in the morning, write 3 main things you need to accomplish that day in order to be productive. By limiting the list to only 3 tasks, it lessens the chance of you becoming overwhelmed and makes sure that you put your best effort into accomplishing those few responsibilities.
I’ll be honest, I don’t always listen to these pieces of advice, but when I do my life tends to be a lot less stressful. Adopting even one or two of them into your daily routine can help you be more productive throughout the day.
